One day in the evening a group of gypsies got down from a boat on the bank of rivulet of the village Bankananda. They were altogether 20 in number. They took the way towards the village. In that group there was a beautiful girl, Mahua. The gypsy group was to show Bhamumoti's trick of Mahua to the Zamindar Nadrerchand. Nader fell in love with Mahua. It was a love of first sight. Mahua also responded to him. Actually Mahua was not a gypsy girl. In the past the gypsy group stole away the little girl of Zamindar Kairtidharaj when handed over all the charges of Zamindari to Naderchand he told him if any day his daughter will return then all the property will be hers. After 10 long years the leader of the gypsy group came to know about all this and for that reason he came back this time now with Mahua with the hope that Mahua will get back all he property and marry him. But his wish did not fulfill. So the leader went back to the hills with Mahua and others. Naderchand could not forget Mahua. He went to the hills and fought bravely with the gypsies and resumed Mahua. But the gang of gypsies followed the couple and after three years they imprisoned them. Mahua stabbed herself in the despair. The angry gypsy leader killed Naderchand.
