    Khanna’s TV Serial!

Story, Script, Screenplay, Cinematography, Editing, Direction, all the things except the Performances and Music, is nothing but simply can be called “Khanna’s TV Serial”.

What would you expect from any of the current TV serial? Love marriage, trouble in marriage, man facing financial problems, love for marriage woman/man, husband/wife separation, and etc and etc. “Main aur Mrs Khanna” has all the mediocre elements which now-a-days any of the TV serials would provide you. Not even the story, you would see and feel like you are watching a typical TV serial from every aspect of angle.

The actual story is very simple and can be explained in just few lines. Salman and Kareena as Mr. & Mrs. Khanna, are happily married but unless one day, Salman suffered from financial crisis and gone under depression, and because of this his marriage life was also not going well. He now decided to shift Singapore from Melbourne and to start something there from zero with the support of his friend Dino Moreo, and this side he took decision for Kareena that she is going to stay with his parents at Delhi. Kareena took her own decision and decided to stay at Melbourne only till he come back. There to survive she started working and she also got job at the airport and guess what she met Sohail there who was working there as a waiter. They became friends and Sohail fell in love with her despite knowing that she is married.

Till here the story was nearly Ok, but after this the story went on more worse. Salman came back and he was happily staying with Kareena. But now Sohail is on a mission to break the relationship between Salman and Kareena. He tries his best to divide them but didn’t succeed. And at the end, Salman and Kareena went Singapore happily and this side Deepika Padukone enters and Mrs. Khan in Sohail’s life.

The good points are only two; (1) Performances by Salman, Kareena & Sohail, especially Salman – he rocks. (2) The “Hot Item” avatar of Priety Zinta.

Minus Points also two; (1) Lousy and typically mediocre story, script and screenplay; (2) The Cinematography – Serial type, The Editing – Serial Type (90% of the movie close to close shots), Direction – Serial Type, The feel factor – Typical mediocre serial type.

Performance apart from Salman, Kareena & Sohail were nearly Ok. Nauheed looks gorgeous and growing. Mehak Chahel – OK. Yash Tonk – Annoys. And last but not the least, good to see Bappida for the first time onscreen acting in some film.
And now before rating this movie, just would like only share this much that “Thank God there are two other films in row this Diwali!”

    Rating: 1.5 / 5
