This film is one of the most confusing and worst film of our times in spite of having a lot of small time well known actors other than Sabyasachi Chakrabarty and Supriya Devi in cameos. The film is centered on the different occupants (from time to time) of a portion of a palatial house. It seems tragedy befalls every occupant of that particular portion in some way or the other. The film begins with a guy Bratya, a young man who rents a portion of a palatial house called’Mallick Bari’.He settles in well till one day he comes in contact with the dead spirits of a family who used to stay there previously but had perished while trying to save a girl from drowning in Puri. Bratya also decides to end his life by doing a good deed as he doesn’t want to survive any longer.Eventually he dies in an accident while trying to do a good deed.
The second occupant of ‘Mallick Bari’ Ritwick is determined to find his elder sister who had been sold off by her husband Rana.He manages to find her one day but she refuses to recognize him.She commits suicide one day which Ritwick discovers and the police arrest him.
The third occupant of ‘Mallick Bari’ is a young man Rudra who receives a call from a telemarketer one day.He asks the girl Purnima to call him up at night as he cant say no to anyone. The girl calls him and slowly a friendship develops .They decide to meet one day. Both of them send their colleagues cum close friends to impersonate them as they both think they are bad looking.Their two friends cum colleagues meet and pretend to be someone else.Later on they tell each other the truth and become close.Meanwhile a misunderstanding is created between the two couples. When Anindya and Mouli get married and their friends turn up on that day, they cross each other’s path and come to know the actual truth.

From the very beginning one can feel the film is going nowhere as the storyline drags and it starts becoming more and more confusing. Towards the end with its songs put together, the audience has already gone to sleep. The posters and even the publicity material (which was distributed before the film began) is extremely misleading as one thought it would be a murder mystery or a thriller of a different kind relating to Mallick Bari and it’s occupants. Eventually viewing the film becomes a tragedy till the very end. Not even the director is sure what the genre of the film is as it starts off a horror film of a kind , but slowly it starts becoming a dramatic film and any hopes of seeing or hoping for any suspense or thrill to take place completely diminishes. The film is not pacy, the dialogue and screenplay is non existent. The main director Anirban Chakroborty who is associated with the other creative departments of the film also appears in a cameo himself without uttering a word.It seems he has also started imitating great filmmakers like Subhash Ghai and Alfred Hitchcock without his film having any content and he has already started to think himself as a showman no less! Most of the actors have bit roles and there are too many unnecessary songs. By seeing Rishi Kaushik, one feels the film had been shot long back, but was stalled for some time.
