Somu is a young farmer who lives in a villages with his mother. Aarti, a rich girl meets Soma and teases him along with her friends on a vacation. Aarti's grandfather Lalaji wants Aarti to marry soon. Aarti is in no hurry for marriage. Lalaji has a serious heart attack and asks Aarti to marry Pran, a family relative. Aarti dislikes Pran and in order to save Lalaji's life, Aarti lies to Lalaji that she is in love with Somu who is a very rich man. Lalaji starts recovering. Once at a party, Somu refuses to recognise his mother for fear of Lalaji's life and his mother dies of shock. When Lalaji finds out that Somu is a simple villager he throws him out. Later when he finds out that Somu has a heart of gold and is not after money, Lalaji agrees for Somu's and Aartis marriage. But Somu refuses to marry a rich girl. So, Lalaji decides to donate his money to charity. However the villain of the story is out to prove Lalaji mad and take his wealth. Aarti, her friend, Somu and Manhi (Aarti's cousin) save Lalaji's life and wealth from his mean relatives.
