Damodar chowdhary, the Zamindar of Bablahati, issued an advertisement in the newspaper wanting teachers for the school he had established in the name of his wife. The condition is the male and female teachers should be husband and wife. Unemployed young man Manashwom Mukhopodhaya and just graduate Niharika Ganguly took the job under the disguise of husband and wife. Rajendralal, the school secretary was more interested in Chapala, the pretty daughter of Damodar, than the development of school. The zamindar's wife Manmoyee within a very short time made a close relationship with both Niharika and Manashwom. One day Manmoyee dressed Niharika as a newly wed woman with sindoor and alta but Niharika was a Christian, she got angry but could not say anything. Manashwom stays away from Niharika as much as possible. She thinks more about the school. Chapala also gives her company. Rajendralal doesn't like Niharika and Manshwom at all. He appointed Haramidhi. He gave Haramidhi money to report to Damodar Chowdhary that Niharika and Manashwom are not actually husband and wife. One is Hindu and the other is a Christian. Listening to everything from Haranidhi, Damodar Chowdhary and his wife Manoyee rushed to their house. And ultimately all is well which ends well. Niharika and Manaswhom became real husband and wife.
