One of the most sensitive films that I have seen in Hindi cinema. One of the rare instances in which I have liked the adaptation better than the original book, which is also a loved read - Man Woman and Child. Aided beautifully by a fantastic musical score by R. D. Burman.
Excellent performances by Naseeruddin, Shabana, Jugal Hansraj as well as the other two child artistes (of whom one was Urmila Matondkar).
A very realistically portrayed movie. Makes you live the lives of the characters with them, and makes you wonder, what would I have done if I was in a similar situation. » read more
