    One of the most sensitive films that I have seen in Hindi cinema. One of the rare instances in which I have liked the adaptation better than the original book, which is also a loved read - Man Woman and Child. Aided beautifully by a fantastic musical score by R. D. Burman.

    Excellent performances by Naseeruddin, Shabana, Jugal Hansraj as well as the other two child artistes (of whom one was Urmila Matondkar).

    A very realistically portrayed movie. Makes you live the lives of the characters with them, and makes you wonder, what would I have done if I was in a similar situation. » read more

    In "Masoom"( The Innocent) the peaceful life of a couple is shattered by the arrival of a small boy, the illegitimate son of the husband. The film is a recycled version of "Kramer Vs Kramer" and Shekhar Kapoor handles the plot quite skillfully underling the sensitive aspects of human relationships. Similar to the situation in popular films, the affair between the husband and the boy's mother is shown in flashbacks with the usual floral surroundings.
