This is a story of an orphaned child who is abducted from love and affection. During his childhood Kesto lost his parents and came to his step sister's house. Nabin, his brother-in-law, was a selfish person who cared for his profit neglecting the villagers well-being. Where as his brother Bipin was kind from his heart and always thinks about the benefit of villigers. Life was hell for Kesto as he had to do all the house hold work and even maintain the shop owned by his brother-in-law . Some times he was not served with proper meals. Only he was supported and taken care by Bipin's wife whom he called Mejdidi. He used to visit her every day for food and spent some time with her. This bonding was not supported by Nabin and his wife Kadambini .They used to beat Kesto whenever he visited his beloved Mejdidi. Having no issues Mejdidi also loved Kesto as her son. One day when Mejdidi was suffering from high fever, Kesto unwillingly stole rs-3 from his brother-in-laws's shop and went to a temple to pray for his Mejdidi. Things got worse when his brother-in-law came to know about this and started beating him mercilessly. Seeing this Mejdidi took Kesto with her and left the house in the absence of Bipin who was out to Kolkata for business purpose. Returning back when Bipin came to know about all things he found his wife and Kesto and returned back home with the condition that Kesto will be living with them. Finally the film ends with a happy note.
