Mere Khwabon Mein KYU Aaye ???
Debutant Director Madhureeta Anand has taken up a very different concept with her 1st film, something that you can classify as Multi-plex cinema in today's date. But whether the director is successful or not needs to be seen.
The story revolves around Maya (Raima Sen) who lives a mundane life of a housewife, taking care of her husband and daughter. When she realises that she has left her dreams and ambitions way behind for a husband whocouldn't care less, she repents. This is when she cooks up an imaginary character Jai (Randeep Hooda) who keeps on encouraging & motivating her to achieve her goal. Does she realise her dreams or does her family come in it's way, is what the story is all about.
The film is more or less fantasy based, with doses of reality pouring in regular intervals. The script could have been more taut & the same can be said about the direction. Also, with names like Shreya Ghoshal, Alka Yagnik, Shaan etc associated with it's music, its surprising that the music doesn't hit even a single note with the audience.
Of the cast, Arbaaz Khan as Maya's husband doesn't have much to do & is okayish in the role given to him. Raima Sen is a good actress and she proves this yet again. Only if the script had supported her as well. Randeep Hooda irritates as the fantasy lover boy. He's too jarring. He seems like a total misfit for the storyline.
So bol meri “FILMI KHOPDI” is Film mein kitna hain dum ?
No Dum at all in this one. The entire concept is stupid and amateurish. Watch it on your local cable channel, whenever your cablewala plays it, provided he has the patience to go through this too.
