    Rana Kumbha built the temple of Ranchhorji in Chitore because of her wife Meera Bai's wish. Meera Bai used to worship in that temple all day and night. Young Rathod and Mandor Kumar fell in love with Alakananda. So he requested Queen Meera Bai to make an agreement for a meeting with Alakananda. Meera Bai then handed over the charge of worshipping Lord Ranchhorji to her main disciple Chand Bhatta and his wife Sunanda and left for Kumbh Meri fort along wit Mandor Kumar through a secret tunnel. When Rana Kumbha heard about this he got angry and arrested Mandor Kumar and Meera Bai when they came out of the tunnel. One day while Meera Bai was meditating Rana'a sister Lalbai garlanded her with a pearl necklace. Seeing that Rana Kumbha became suspicious and could not get any answer from queen Meera Bai. In the mean time Rana heard some thing malicious statement and complains against Meera Bai's character. Rana ordered Meera Bai to stop her worshipping Lord Ranchhorji. Ignoring Rana's order Meera Bai along with her disciples started singing in the streets the dalliance of Lord Radha and Krishna. This time Rana was so angry he ousted Meera Bai from Chitore stamping her an unchaste woman. Meera Bai left Chitore and went to Brindaban. Her disciple Chanda Bhatta and his wife Sunanda was with her. One day Rana Kumbha came to know about his wife Meera Bai. He was repentant and came to Brindaban to take back Meera Bai to Chitore again. But before he could reach Brindaban Meera Bai already died and her soul had left for the heaven.
