A man lost in his own nation!
Mohandas is a tribute to our beloved Mohandas Karamchand Gandhiji. He has fight and died for our nation to be free from all the Britishers, so that people of our country would live in peace, have right to own everything, and our country would call as a democratic free country.
But what’s the fact? What is our country now after the freedom of 50yrs? Are people living in peace? Are they having right to own their name also? After watching this, listening this, feeling this, can our country be called as a free democratic country? These all answers are given to us in this amazing film called as “Mohandas”, fabulous written by Uday Prakash and a good debutant direction by Mazhar Kamran.
A simple story explained us it in a unique way. Story of about a poor person called “Mohandas” living in small village, topper of his school and college. After a long struggle of giving exams and interviews he got a job as a ‘Chief Engineer” in a government mill company. He was told that he would be called and later would give his appointment letter. But later nothing turned up, and after some investigation he got to knew that someone else is being appointed in the name of “Mohandas”. That person was taking the advantage of his identity and was enjoying the job as a ‘Chief Engineer”. Rest of the story is all about that person name “Mohandas” fighting for his own name, fighting for his own identity, discovering that from down to up, everybody is involved in this crime.
A good performance by Sonali Kulkarni who play as reporter in a famous TV channel and is trying to help Mohandas. Sharbani Mukherjee plays as the wife of Mohandas and a decent performance given by her. And a brilliant performance given by Nakul Vaid who acts as a “Mohandas” in the film.
Overall, a must film for all those people who loves to watch any kind of social relevant movie and doesn’t matter to watch any art film.
