  • Divya Bharti was the 1st and only choice for Mohra and even filmed some scenes for a few days. But due to her tragic and untimely demise she had to be replaced. Then before he approached Raveena Tandon, Rajiv Rai requested a well known model (at that time) Aishwarya Rai to do the film but she was busy with the Miss India pageant and turned down the offer. It was then that Tandon was zeroed in for the project. Sridevi was never signed for the film.By Noorulain
