Momer Alo, a film by Salil Dutta manifests a picture about complications in human mind. Surojit Sen (Uttam Kumar), a promising psychiatrist who defies all conventional theouries of psychology wishes to launch an alternative treatment for psychotic patients. His faith is proof worthy. The story is about Surojit's challenge to heal a wounded mind shunting the established views. Savitri chatterjee playing role of a schizophrenic woman loses her normalcy due to a mishap. That occured in her personal life. Dr. Surojit Sen takes this case as a challenge to prove that an injured mind needs more care and a better understanding than any medicine on therapy. The film portrays that how the doctor gets intimate with his patient. His patient to whom he was mere a stranger a few days before starts sharing a close aquaintance with him. From dinner table to hush-hush, she shared every bit of her life. This is how the doctor slowly gets into the detail of her crisis and enables her to lead a normal life.
