Raaj who had previously appeared in Kalir Arjun a long time back, makes a comeback after more than a year with his current film ‘Mon Je Bole Priya Priya’ with the very much in demand Pamela opposite him though none of her films are clicking.
The film is a very ordinary film and the story line goes haywire after a point of time though it could have been interesting. There are absurdities in the plot which make the story a little laughable.
It is about Priya who is brought up by her foster parents Aditya Narayan and his wife after her parents die when she is young. They intend to finish her off and get hold of her property. On her 18th birthday, she gets a car as a present from her foster parents. While she is driving the new car one day, the brakes don’t work (Aditya Narayan had asked someone to do something with them) and hits Arjun who has come down from his village to study in Kolkata. He is badly injured and taken to the hospital where it is seen that due to a brain hemorrhage , he becomes a mentally challenged man.Priya brings him home and he starts living there as he had been turned away when he had been taken there by Priya. Both of them get very attached to each other and Arjun can't see any harm being done to Priya. Her foster parents are desperate to finish her and Arjun, but are unsuccessful .Priya goes away one day with Anando and stays at her friend’s house for a day. She hears that her uncle isn’t keeping well so she goes to visit him. When she does so, she is given a juice which has poison in it and she dies.Arjun somehow comes to know about Priya’s whereabouts and lands up at the morgue where she has been kept. The cop investigating her case is made to believe that Arjun has killed her.Arjun takes off with Priya’s corpse from the mortuary and goes away to Gangtok all the time thinking that she is alive and continuously speaking to her as he is mentally challenged.Aditya Narayan also arrives there as does the cops.Arjun gets shot by Aditya Narayan though he also somehow manages to kill Aditya Narayan.
Raaj who was terrible in his first film is a little better simply because of his very different role as a mentally challenged man in this film. Even then he is just about okay. He never had the looks of a hero and neither the height. The action sequences are terrible. Pamela tries to best to look hot and sexy and going by her exposure in this film is trying hard to take the No. 1 status in sexiness, but fails miserably. Her acting is just about okay.Rajatava enacts a role which he has done over and over again, but it is Ashish Vidyarthi who has the best dialogues and gets the maximum taalis and seetis from the audience. When Arjun is hit by the car, so much blood flows that he possibly cant be alive , but he remains alive because of the film. The climax and the end is terrible as well. Then you have a song between a corpse and a madman even after the film passes away. He even manages to steal the corpse from a morgue and take it all the way to Gangtok. Then you have Tapas Pal who plays a doctor wear ear studs in some scenes and none in other scenes! One particular song 'Tumi Ele Jibone' is quite pleasant considering other songs heard nowadays.
