KUTCH ALAG PAR KUTCH KUM
Bollywood is exprimenting & trying to discover new themes and subjects. Mukhbir is a perfect example of the same. It’s a film that tries to explore the life and death of informers.
Mukhbir is the story of Kailash [samir dattani] who works for the Government as an
informer under officer Rathod [om puri]. Rathod and Kailash together keep
doing many operations and whenever Kailash is stuck, Rathod saves his
skin. Kailash on his next operation reaches Hyderabad and starts
working under Mamu [alok nath] whose gang is ruled byBiju [raj zutshi]
and Pasha [Sushant singh]. Kailash’s job is to find out the link from Paasha
to Saaya[rahul dev] and unveil their plans. Will kailash suceed or will he be
trapped under the net of crime?
The story is different, though it has some similarities to 'Contract ' and 'ChamKu'.
But its the screenplay and the treatment which works for the film. The film does not side track from its concept but hits right on its mission. In spite of this, due to some loose ends and
less entertainment value, the movie drags at some point. Camera work is good, specially in the opening scenes.
Music is just ok and does not go with mood of the film.
Manishankar always dares to touch some innovative subjects. This time
we can see a mature touch, but as the story is little weak it looses out
at many points.
Samir dattani does a decent job, but still manages to look misfit in some parts. Om puri and sunil shetty have done their work with complete sincerity .Jackie, Raj zutshi, sushant, Raima Sen etc are ok and wasted.
So Bol meri 'Filmi Khopdi' is film mein kitna hain dum ??
Dum hain kutch kutch dum hain, but kaafi jagah kutch kum hain. Though
a good attempt,it would have worked out more better had it been something different from the usual. Still watch it for its different theme. Kutch alag but
