The draught prone Maharashtra has seen suicides of thousands of farmers. Our story starts in one such small village called Bagadwadi, in western Maharashtra, and revolves around Bhanudas (Nandu Madhav), a farmer with a dream of owning a well in his farm and flourish his land so that his children lead a happy life. With the concept of owning a well in his farm he approaches a water source finder- P...anadya (Praful Kamble), who comes out to be a con. Advised by the panadya he puts his land at stake to get the money for digging the well, the process is going well but no sign of water and soon enough he is pounded by another bigger problem which brings him in front of the most cruel and cunning man in the entire of Bagadwadi, Bhujanrao (Nagesh Bhosale). He lends more money from him and puts himself and his family in an even higher debt. All his money is spent but still no sign of water in his well, with neck high in debt and ashamed of his foolishness, he has no option left but to commit suicide, he jumps off in the same dug well in which nothing turned up except for black rocks. His family is left all alone, his old father dies soon and his wife Baija (Tejaswini Pandit), is left alone with the two children. The villagers start harassing them, taunting them and torturing them, tired and frustrated of everything coming her way, she decides to leave everything behind and run away from the village. A cinematic liberty is considered in this part where every trouble his wife and family faces is seen by Bhanudas (Nandu Madhav) soul who is always around them. He is always around when; Bhujanrao tries to molest Baija (Tejaswini Pandit), when Sarpanch (Milind Shinde) wants to force himself on her, when the officials refuse to give her the money allotted by the government to help suicide farmer’s family. He weeps, cries, screams seeing all this but no one can hear him or help him do anything for his family. Times change, the government brings in new laws, cancels out all the debt of farmers, the very well where Bhanudas (Nandu Madhav) committed suicide flourishes with water, everything is plush and green but she is not around to see anything, she is haunting villages and streets begging and feeding her children’s. Sleeping on roads and ST stands with torn clothes and under nourished selves she and the children’s are leading the life’s of beggars. Things come to a happy ending when Pathak Guruji (Satish Salagare) set out to find Baija and bring her back to her home and farm which have nourished and flourished. With everything set right and his family happy and secure Bhanudas (Nandu Madhav) leaves the soul life of wandering and vanishes into the sky.
