The movie did strike an emotional chord.

What helped it tremendously was performances by some powerful actors like Paresh Rawal (who shows how seasoned he is once again), Kay Kay Menon, Irrfan Khan. Soha surprises with a sensitively portrayed performance while Madhavan is good as well.

The scenes of the bomb blasts themselves, could have been done better. No willing suspension of disbelief here. It looked as if the scene had been re - constructed very well, which defeats the very purpose of those scenes in the movie.
