Doing few movies a year definitely seems to be a good option for Anand Milind, though not for their diehard followers. Their music sounds intrinsically fresh in Murder.
The album starts off with Bhalobasha Phire Esho Na by Kunal who has now become an AM regular. The song is refreshing, bcos of its light music arrangements and good singing by Kunal.
Kalke Tumi Amar by Shaan and Rithu Patak is what i would call a haunting style melody, notes having a resonant drop within them. Defnly a winner for melody lovers.
Oi Chokhe Ki Jadu by Arun Daga is a nice party setup number. Admit, that never heard of Arun before, but he does full justice to AM's melody number.
Shagor Jodi Daake- by Jawed Ali and Madhushree again emphasizes AM's view of doing limited movies. There is a strong emphasis on melody again in this track and AM do full justice to bring out the romanticism required for this song.
Laila is a club item number by June Banerjee and Arun Bakshi. Must say am slighty disappointed by this number. It sounds a rehash of many old numbers of similar category. But then, its passable.
AM have remphasized that melody is their forte and have done justice to all numbers, they have exploited the vocal skills of all singers to the hilt.
For someone who does not understand Bengali, this album defnly makes an impact simply because of its sheer melody and rhythm.
