Life has always played a spoilsport with this simpleton village kid Ganya. His parents left for the heavenly abode years back, leaving him with a sprawling villa & scheming relaties. The court has appointed Ganya's (maternal) uncle Naagesh & aunt Chandramukhi as the care taker of this villa. So, Ganya, the real inheritor of the property is living a miserable life at the mercy of his aunt & uncle - whose sole motive is to grab the villa.
One fine day, having enough of their mistreatment, Ganya runs a away form home & reaches lord Ganesha's temple at Ganpatiphule. Gangu Tai, who is praying at the temple, is moved by the sight of the sobbing kid and takes him home, Ganya, who has never seen his mother, finds a mother in Gangu Tai, and Gangu Tai, who has never had a kid, finds a son is Ganya.
At the villa, the mood is somber, Naagesh & Chandramukhi are frantically looking for Ganya, but in vain. They are well aware that without Ganya, their dream of grabbing the villa will remain just a dream. Much to their respite, Chandramukhi's brother Bala manages to find Ganya and bring him back. But Ganya is unhappy to be back & longs to go back to Gangu Tai. Naagesh and Chandramukhi relent partially and decide to meet Gangu Tai & her husband Shamshir, but only to humiliate them. Ganya is back to his miserable life at the villa. Feeling helpless, he sobs in front of Lord Ganesha's idol and prays for help. Lord Ganesha, on hearing Ganya's honest prayers, appeared & befriends him. Ganya desparately wants to go back to Gangu Tai & Lord Ganesha sends him in a flash. Gangu Tai & Shamshir are delighted to have their beloved Ganya back.
But, while Ganya gets what he wants, the scene at the villa changes dramatically. Naagesh and Chandramukhi are taken aback by the sudden change in Ganya's behaviour. The timid boy, whom they had ruthlessly treated, has turned the tables on them. Ganya was no more the timid Ganya they had known, but had transformed into a rich brat, beyond their control. The even set up a plot to kill him, but somehow Ganya manages outsmart them on all occassions.
On the other hand, Gangu Tai & Shamshir decide to ensure that Ganya being the real inheritor of the villa gets his due justice. They, along with Ganya reach the villa to confront Naagesh and Chandramukhi; but they can't believe their eyes on seeing another (bratty) Ganya at the villa! Naagesh, Chandramukhi, Gangu Tai, Shamshir, Ganya are all bewildered by the presence of the two Ganyas.
As the mystery of the two Ganya's depens, what emerges is a no holds barred joy ride involving on villa, two inheritors & their adorable friend Lord Ganesha. But who is this other Ganya? Is he the handywork of Naagesh and Chandramukhi or someone else who has set his eyes on villa or is it friendly Lord Ganesha weaving his magic once again!
