Its a heart warming tale of Rizvan Khan's life that strikes a cord or two because of its sheer sincerity. Potraying a man suffering from Asperger's syndrome, Khan delivers an absolute honest and straight from the heart performance.. the love story of shahrukh and kajol reminds one of old days and there are moments in the film that make you smile, laugh and cry.. but the problem with MNIK is that it tries to achieve too much. Karan Johar tries to address an ordinary muslim's catastrophe after 9/11; squeeze a message; sensitise on autism without letting go off his trademark masala and bollywood melodrama ! the film suffers from unrealistic and rather cheesy potrayal of a natural disaster in one of the world's most powerful nations and while trying to potray SRK as demi-god, the film stretches tad too far in the last 30 minutes.. all in all, its worth a one time watch, but seriously, the last 30 minutes could have been most definately avoided !!
