Something that will wet your eyes!
Writer-Director of the film Mr. Nick Cassavetes, who has acted in more than 30 films, written and directed about six to seven films, has delivered us something unforgettable experience which I guess no one can, especially I cannot, forget it.
This amazing film has won one award and nominated for twice. The film will make you cry, will make you laugh, will excite you, and most of all will teach you something what is the actual meaning of love.
This is the story of about one family. A family of five people which involves a man of the family, Brian (Jason Patric); his wife Sara (Cameron Diaz); their three children’s Kate (Sofia Vassilieva), Anna (Abigail Breslin), and Brother Jesse (Evan Ellingson). Among three of them Brother Jesse is the elder one, then Kate and the smaller and younger child among all is the Anna. Along with all of them Sara’s sis was also staying with them, Aunt Kelly (Heather Wahlquist).
Everything was going on well until one fine day it came to know that Kate is suffering from Leukemia (Cancer) when she was just 3yrs old. As the time passed and when Anna was born, doctor said that they can transmit some genes from Anna to Kate as their molecular structure is same, and by doing this Kate will suffer less then what she is suffering now. When Kate turns 13 she goes into renal failure. Now knowing that Anna will have to donate one of her kidneys to her sister, as by the doctor’s suggestion, she Sue’s her parents for medical emancipation and the rights to her own body. Now what was the reason of Anna behind doing all this? Why she sued her own parents? Is she not willing to save her own sister?
This film will teach us what family is, what love for family is, what’s the meaning of happiness, what does care mean, what does sacrifice means, and most important of all, what does a ‘love’ means to somebody.
I would recommend each and everybody out there to watch this film for it atleast once in his/her lifetime. This is surely one film that you can’t afford to miss it.
This film will definitely make your eyes wet, either by sad or either by happy. About me, I just literally cried when the tragic end came and smiled when the last scene ended.
