What would you expect from a movie which releases on the same day as ROBOT, not much right. Well this movie did more than just hold its fort. Language was definitely a barrier but still I thought to find a sub titled version of this movie. And finally when I did, I might not have thought what this movie would be.
Well the movie is about a couple, whose relationship has blossomed from their childhood. Suruli(Vidaarth) and Myna(Amla Paul, in her debut performance), are resident of a small village in Tamil Nadu. Things are great between the two, as they grow up. Surli and Myna first meet when Myna and her mother are thrown out of their house by their landlord and helps them in settling. Then on Surli falls in love with Myna and helps her family in any which way he could. He has a not-exactly-good relationship with his own family. Both of them are in love with each other, so when Myna's mother decides to get her married off to another guy, Surli loses his cool and attacks Myna's mother. He gets arrested by police under attempt to murder. The story unfolds when Surli has to escape from the prison as Myna's mother arranges her marriage with another person. This leads to the jail in charge and his subordinate (Thambi Ramaiah) to chase the fugitive. The movie talks about the love birds, the relationship between the cops and the couple and the beast in all of us.
The simple love story has a very strong current which takes you alongwith it. The picturesque shots make this movie even more beautiful. The songs sound good, cant say more as the lyrics were not comprehensible. Amla does a wonderful job in her portrayal of Myna, Surli is good too. Ramaiah is awesome in support role and deservingly got rewarded for that. The direction is awesome.
Do watch it, someone rightly said love knows no language!
