    Not really much to say about a film, which again pokes an ugly thought in me - why dont some people still realise that we’re really tired of those rotten naacha-gaana-rona-dhona-fir mil jaana, and everybody-knows-what type of movies? are they simply ignorant or over confident, thinking they can test the viewers’ patience and simply get away with it, raking the moolah at cinema-goers’ expenses! » read more

    A film that proved out to be better than my expectations. A film that adopted a nice entertaining formulae with a class handling without making the plot or execution look tacky. A film that proved that Akshay Kumar can be one helluva performer at serious types too. I simply loved the film, and was surprised that my friends found it boring. Some scenes were not true but never-the-less left a great impact like when Akki tells to a British racist about the qualities of India Also, when Akshay calls home and talks to them, he is at his emoting guest.     I watched this movie when I bored and extremely lethargic. And it remains just that- a movie to watch when you are bored and lethargic and your brains are really not fully functional - but working just about enough to hear the dialogues and passively listen to Himesh Reshamiyya doling out one of his nasal signature tunes. That said it is an ok time pass movie - do not intellectualize. Akshay Kumar provides a decent performance ( I can't see the movie working with any other actor) and Katrina is definitely a pleasant sight to see.
