A Don named Baapji(Om Puri) controls the entire town known as Narayanpur, including the police station, hospital, court, the local businesses or any other local authority. But when an Inspector named Vinod Rustogi(Shafi Inamdar) takes charge of Narayanpur police station, he resolves to put an end to Baapji's reign and terror. But before he could do anything Baapji assassinates him. After Vinod's death his son Ravi(Ravi Behl) and daughter Anita(Dimple) come to Narayanpur and Ravi enrols his name in the local college of Narayanpur. With his smart personality and dancing skills Ravi impress Minoo(Urmila Matondkar). Coincidentally Minoo turns out to be Baapji's daughter. Hence Baapji starts to harass Ravi and his family. Baapji cuts the supply of food, water and electricity to Ravi's house and makes life miserable for Ravi's family. He assigns this work to Narsimha (Sunny Deol), who is believed to be the most trusted man of Baapji. But it doesn't take Narsimha long to realise his mistake for he also knows how a home-wrecked person feels, as he also had been through a situation where he had lost his entire family in the riots between two villages for which Baapji was responsible. Eventually he determines to take a step to destroy Baapji's evil empire.
