    Natobar Not Out is a comedy which should appeal to all classes of people primarily Bengalis-whether rural, urban or small town. Many Bengalis are poets or aspire to be one. They have a deep attachment with poetry. This film is about the central character Natobar.

    Natobar is a young guy from a typical North Kolkata middle class neighbourhood whose heart beats for poetry, but with no appreciation coming from any quarters including the local club, he loses heart.     Amit Sen's directorial debut Natobor Notout is nothing more than an average watch.Though script writer Kamleshwar Bhattacharya has put a lot of effort in making the script engaging,witty and smart ,Sen's amateurish direction spoiled his hard toil.Notobar starts on a very smart note. But as time passes it loses all its smartness and becomes bland.

    In His debut film Amit Sen has hit the bull’s eye. “Natobar Not Out” has come out as one of the best entertaining film of this year.
    Based on Kamaleswar Mukherjee’s story and screenplay Amit Sen has proved through this film that he is not only the finest AD-film maker but he can tell a story visually for long 2 hrs 15 minutes.
