As I had liked the leading man of Vicky Donor (Ayushmann Khurrana), I had to see his second film and boy I wasn't disappointed at all.
Lets get straight to the plot. While returning from work one night, Ram Parmar [Ayushmann Khurrana] rescues Mandar Lele [Kunaal Roy Kapur] from his suicide attempt and takes on the responsibility of rehabilitating him. Mandar is a failure in everything he attempts, he’s even lost the love of his life, Nandini [Pooja Salvi]. Ram decides to reunite Mandar with his sweetheart, but, in turn, falls in love with her…
And that's when the whole film takes a U-turn!
The film never becomes too heavy and remains light. Thankfully, the film doesn't have any double meaning dialogues and yet it makes one laugh. The production design is great, especially the setting in the theatre.
Of the leading ladies, Pooja Salvi Gaelyn Mendonca and Evelyn Sharma are pathetic. They don't deserve to even be called actress. In fact they are the only negative thing about this film. Sulbha Arya (our very own Kanta ben) as Kunaal's grand-mom is too good. Abhishek Bachchan appears in a cameo thankfully and not in the whole movie!
Ayushmann and Kunaal are hilarious in this film. Their chemistry is spot on and makes the film a memorable experience.
