As the film sets forth, the audiences can take a bird's eye view of New York, the city of ultimate modernity. The practical features are changing into the sketch-crafts denoting the blue-prints of the sky-kissing buildings. Omar(Neil Nitin Mukesh), a young aspirant from India (Delhi) who came to this city in 1999 with the scholarship studied at the New York State University, is now held by the FBI as some arms have been found in his car. He is tormented by the high-ranking official of the FBI Roshan (Irfan) who accuses him of terrorist activities. He is actually forced ... » read more

WE have talked umpteen time how a bad script has ruined good stories. Someone who would see New York would understand this.

The movie starts with Omar (Neil NItin Mukesh) getting caught by the FBI under allegations of possessing illegal arms. Irrfan Khan playing a FBI cop gives him a way out. He needs to infiltrate into John Abraham's terrorist cell and then supply information to Irrfan as they are suspecting a major attack on New York. KAtrina plays John's wife, she is as being written on every post and paper has given one of her vest performances.

    Kutch Alag…..but…

Director Kabir Khan, whose last directorial film was “Kabul Express” Re-Visits the aftermath of 9/11 again in “New York”. In his last film he showed us what happened to Terrain country like Afghanistan and this time decides to show us from the ground level, i.e. in New York itself. So will New York be as hard hitting as Kabul Express or collapse like the Twin tower did in New York? Let’s find out.

“New York” is story of Omar [Neil Nitin Mukesh] who is held by FBI Agent Roshan [Irfaan Khan] on suspect of terrorism . While interrogation ... » read more

    Straight from Dil se:

Right now I guess many of you have seen this movie or else already had read the review from here. People say to me that the story was a bit stretchy, ending was not good, and etc etc. But I think, some films are purposely made stretchy, so that the proper impact would be given to the audiences. And the ending part, I think the writer gave proper justice to the story and to the characters. I just loved the last dialogue of the film where Neil Nitin was telling to the Cop Irfaan Khan that what have you got from this mission, nothing but the ... » read more

New York..the movie based on a serious issue of terrorism is a good attempt by the director Kabir Khan after Kabul express.....the movie revolves around the life of those innocent people based in newyork who had nothing to do with the attack but yet were detained by Fbi and Tortured for no reasons....The movie in the first half is all about the college life....and how the 9/11 incident changes the life in second half.......The movies makes you trautamised by the ill treatment shown by thr FBI to the innocent people and how that chapter actually converts the to b terrorists ... » read more

The prospect of watching a film after such a long time was at first looked under grave threat due to a long wait for tickets (the fact is: Free Tuesday one-on-one free ticket offer by Vodafone). Finally the battle was won by wifey dear who held onto it and grabbed the tickets. The Kabul express memory was still intact, and experiencing another rare docu-dramma from Bollywood was far too enticing to overcome any torrent incited delay :)

But all such euphoria lasts as little as Pritam’s originality is!!

John was horrible and so was his team of ‘terrorists’, ... » read more

New York was definitely a movie that had aroused a huge interest through its engaging theatrical trailer. A two months drought, and just like everyone, I too had hopes pinned on it. Unfortunate i was .

The movie has a good concept but some where down the line things go wrong, which actually makes a fiasco.

The movie features 3 of the dearest friends, whose lives are changed after the 9/11 attack. Basically, the movie doesn’t deal with the attitude of “People” after the 9/11 attacks. It deals the Muslim people suspecting stuff that has been visible in ... » read more

I saw the film just day before yesterday, and I felt A-Mazing! Just A-Mazing!!
Frankly speaking I seriously didn’t knew that after 9/11, many innocent people were treated so badly. It’s really a shame on Bush. Just recollecting the posters which have been showed in the film “BUCK – FUSH”, on the start I didn’t get what it actually means, and just was having an idea that something for Bush. But now just replace the B & F on the start of the letter.
What creativity! Infact everything in the film is simply Awesome! The story, the directorship, music, and just everything. ... » read more

A very serious kind of film which is a must for everyone to see it. Many a times we feel that everything is now under control and people will soon be healed from heavy disaster. But in actual life, it’s not. The last sentences at the end of film which they have shown us or rather informed us was the best thing and liked the most in the entire film. One of the sentences said that people are still under heavy depression, who were innocent and kept under the so called detention centre. It also said that more than thousand people were released as they didn’t find evidence. ... » read more

New york is a movie to watch carefully. It sends a message to the administrators to be patient and careful about accusing anybody without any proof. The story is simple but t it carries a strong and meaningful message.
The charecters are played very well. John and Neel have acted well. Katrina has done justice to her charector too. Although the story is little absard about the last part , it does make an impact in the movie.
The music is not that impresive but is somewhat matching to the film. The film is a bit dramatic but it shows how the innocents can be ... » read more
