Following the footsteps of Akshay Kumar, who has sung a song for his upcoming film Special Chabbis, Anil Kapoor has also crooned for Shootout At Wadala.

"I have done many things in this film and one of them is rapping... I have rapped for the first time," said the 53-year-old during the live trailer launch of the film at the Great India Place Mall on Saturday.

"Yes 25- 30 years back, I sang for some films and once again I have stepped in front of mike and the feeling is amazing."

Directed by Sanjay Gupta, the thriller is a prequel to his 2007 film Shootout at Lokhandwala and revolves around the first registered shootout of Mumbai police, in which gangster Manya Surve was shot dead in 1982 at Wadala.

Anil plays Assistant Commissioner of Police Isaque Bagwan in the film and he gave a live performance to launch the first trailer of the film. A shootout scene was staged.

Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the movie is slated to hit screens on 1st May and also features John Abraham, Kangna Ranaut, Tusshar Kapoor and Sonu Sood in prominent roles.
