SYNOPSIS: English Vinglish is the story of a middle class Indian housewife who is not well versed with the English language. This is often the reason of mock and ridicule in her family. Hence, she decides to learn the language and prove to everyone that she is not born only to make ladoos and doing household chores.
The trailer is simple and light-hearted in nature, and will certainly bring a smile on your face. The dialogues of the movie seems to be one of its scoring points. Sridevi looks pretty as she transforms herself from a restrained housewife to a confident woman. The film appears to be a bit slow, but hope it holds on the attention of the viewers. Reportedly Amitabh Bachchan was overwhelmed after watching English Vinglish.
MUSIC: Composed by Amit Trivedi, English Vinglish has six songs in it. The main highlights of the album are the title track, and the song Manhattan; other songs are pretty average. It is a kind of film that cannot be judged on the basis of the music album. The nature of the film is non commercial and the music album truly depicts that. The songs are simple and you may like it if you are not looking for hip hop kind of songs.
PREDICTIONS: English Vinglish, the comeback film of Sridevi, is one of the most awaited films of the year for the very same reason! It will definitely have a good opening as the loyal fans of the actress will not let her down. The film may not enter the 100 crore club, and neither it is targeting it; it just wants the audience to be entertained, and the chances are high that it will succeed in its motive.
