Priyanka Chopra is playing a Bengali character in her upcoming film Gunday and is all excited about it. Apparently, the actress loves playing Bengali characters.

Priyanka says, "I think Bengali girls are beautiful and bold and I love playing bold and beautiful girls. I am very happy to be playing Bengali characters. My character is a Bengali girl, she is called Nandita. We must not talk so much about the film right now. We are very very far from release. It is just the beginning.”

Priyanka's character in the film is about a simple Bengali girl and the makers have really worked hard on making Priyanka look authentic, as far as, her character is concerned.

“Major portions will be shot in Kolkata but we are creating the streets of Howrah in Mumbai and it will take some time. This is a different kind of a film. It's a more mature romance and it also has action and drama. I am planning to release the film in the winters of 2013. "She will look authentic and justify her character as a Bengali girl. All the three characters will be seen as Bengali in the film. There will be some surprise as well. There will be some special appearances in the film by regional actors,” added Ali Abbas Zafar, the director of the film.

Ali Abbas made his directorial debut with the movie Mere Brother Ki Dulhan which was a light romance while Gunday deals with a mature romance.
