One of the most peculiar features of a Yash Chopra directorial was the heroine clad in a chiffon sari in an open landscape which added to the aesthetic beauty of the song. With his last directorial venture up for release next month, producer-director Yash Chopra had decided to shoot a song with Katrina Kaif in a chiffon sari at his favourite location, the Swiss Alps soon. But before he could go ahead with the shooting, he was detected with dengue, and before anyone knew it, the filmmaker breathed his last. Thus, his last film's final shot remains unaccomplished.
"We were to go to the Swiss Alps to shoot a song with Katrina (Kaif) in chiffon saris. He discussed the saris with passion and used to tell me that 'I want you to be there at the shoot'," tweeted Malhotra.
Chopra had almost completed the shooting of Jab Tak Hai Jaan with Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina and Anushka Sharma in key roles.
Earlier, there were speculations about which of these two ladies would be seen in the chiffon sari, a trademark of many Yash Chopra films, but ultimately Katrina was the chosen one.
However, with the demise of the legendary filmmaker, we wonder if his 'incomplete' last film would be completed by his filmmaker son, Aditya Chopra. Let's wait and watch.
