Tatya Vinchu, the wicked villain of the blockbuster Marathi film Zapatlela, will be back in its sequel. The film is being directed by Mahesh Kothare, who had directed the first part as well. In Zapatlela, the character of Tatya Vinchu was a puppeteer of ventriloquist dolls in a town called Shrirangpur and made life hell for Lakshya (Laxshmikant Berde). Now the baddie is back after a gap of 20 years that too in 3D format.
Zapatlela 2 is the first ever 3D film and first sequel in the history of Marathi films. The sequel stars Adinath Kothare, Sonali, Makrand Anaspure, Sai Tamhankar, Madhu Kambikar, Sunil Tawade, Deepak Shrike and Dilip Prabhavalkar. The film is produced by Kothara & Kothare Vision.
Many renowned international technicians have been working on the ambitious project including Enrique Criado, a prominent stereographer from Spain. The new look and tricks of Tatya Vinchu have been created with the help from popular ventriloquist Ramdas Padhye. Zapatlela 2 is slated to hit screens on 7th June.
