The film actually begins in docu style with several eminent people from various fields being shown to show their dismay at the turn around events after the theft. Soon after the film starts by showing by showing Bhanu, an illiterate villager living with his wife and son who stumbles upon the Nobel one day. He takes to the headmaster who is shocked to see what Bhanu has chanced upon. On his advice, Bhanu lands up in Kolkata to hand it over to the C.M with a reference letter written by the headmaster. After meeting Jeet, what happens to Bhanu’s life is expected. He comes across thugs, memorabilia collectors, private individuals who take him to be cash cow and last but not the least, the police. Hope and happiness turns into despair and dilemma. Perhaps the only character who stands by him is the private individual’s wife who understands his situation.
