Ogo Bideshini is a very bad film in recent times because of several reasons. Imagine the story beginning with Abhishek Chatterjee and Locket playing college students! They play Rwik and Saoli respectively.Saoli is in love with Rwik and is obsessed with him though he only considers her to be a close friend. Entrance of Nadi (Sohini Pal and the daughter of the family friend of Rwik who comes to stay with them) marks the beginning of a new chapter in the film.Rwik and Saoli become close over a period of time so why should Saoli stand it? She and her brother threaten Nadi at different times and Nadi decides to go away. The very next moment Nadi becomes blind and there is blood on Rwik‘s chest! HOW? WHY! WHERE? No answer! Saoli‘s brother (Tapas Pal) comes and pleads to Rwik.Nadi advises him to get married to Saoli and he agrees. But Saoli passes away before their marriage day and she donates her eyes to Nadi in a letter which she leaves behind. Thus starts some ‘rona dhona’ which has started a long time back and continues till the end. The film which is supposed to be a tearjerker turns out to be a real ‘tragedy’.

The reason is when you have a star cast having Abhishek, Locket and Sohini in the lead roles where the first two names play college students, it can’t get more ridiculous! Only Sohini fits the bill because of the role which she plays suits her age in real life and it is only she who can be a college student if at all! Locket plays a role which comes naturally to her as does Tapas Pal and Debjani (playing Rwik’s elder sister) who acts well. The comic sequences featuring Nimu Bhowmick aren’t too funny. The music is a little okay. The picture quality at the theatre initially was terrible which made things worse!
