Soulful Music, Touching Lyrics.
When you have a movie starring Emraan Hashmi, you can expect it to have some awesome music. Once Upon A Time In Mumbai is no exception. The music is composed by Pritam and he’s done really well.
Pee Loon is a beautiful romantic track sung by Mohit Chauhan. The song has an excellent chorus supporting it, added by some nice lyrics. Everything together makes it a song you’ll love crooning.
I Am In Love is another awesome romantic number. This one has been sung by KK.
You gotta love Babu Rao, a fun song with Mika behind the mike. It’s a bindass song, with lyrics that tell you why the city of Mumbai is mast. For things like this song, you got to appreciate Mika.
Sunidhi Chauhan rocks in Parda, a spin-off of the eternal wonder Duniya Me Logo Ko. The track’s not a remix, it is a completely new song, but with wonderful parts from the classic. This one’s probably the best track of the album. Very well done, Pritam.
Tum Jo Aaye is a qawali sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Tulsi Kumar. The latter is wonderful on the vocals, she has such a sweet voice, listening to her is a pleasure.
Overall, a great album: soulful music, touching lyrics and quite a few tracks that are worthy of your playlists.
