Outsourced is a pretty well-made light-hearted rom-com that is not only thoroughly enjoyable but brings a fresh perspective on commoditisation of human beings in the name of 'profitability'.
Todd is a Seattle based American middle manager of a company that decides to outsource its entire operation to india. eventually Todd lands up in an Indian suburb much to his agony and irritation, where he has to train his Indian counterparts. He is put up with puro, the guy who would replace Todd, albeit at a meagre one eighth of the salary that the American gets. Puro's confidence to marry his lady love now gets boosted at this new found prospect. In the office, Todd is also introduced to Asha, a charming and outspoken girl, with whom he develops a good rapport. Slowly, Todd realizes that he too needs to learn a lot of things. What follows then is a series of events that lead to an affair between Todd and Asha, formation of an excellent team thanks to much efforts of Todd who are finally ready to start the Indian operation. But to everybody's surprise the company decides to move the operation to China for further cost cutting. Todd refuses the offer from the company to lead the chinese operation, and gives it to Puro. Todd finally returns to Seattle.
If nothing else, Outsourced is certainly a bag full of feel-good factors that makes it a viewers' delight. Watch it!!
