Lucky is a gawky 15yar old middleclass mundane Sikh kid who rises to become one of the most wanted master thieves of Punjab (then Delhi and finally India) with tens of millions worth loot, a glamorous lifestyle, cars, women and a fan following which includes cops as well. Lucky has his one and only partner in childhood friend “Bangali” who becomes his partner in crime as well as his unique uncanny knack of lifting and mocking up things, special crime branch officer Inspector Singh gets appointed to locate and arrests him. But Lucky’s boss Goga Arora alias Goga Bhai (Paresh Rawal) keeps both Lucky and Bangali under cover. Meanwhile Lucky plans to marry Rohini, a girl with vociferous values and valour, who never approves Lucky’s lifestyle but gives him for his love. Slowly Lucky leaves Goga Bhai’s association and begins on his own. He meets Dr. B. K Honda who cheats him over Rs. 30lakhs on the premise of installing a cuisine parlor. Lucky’s childhood peer Bangali betrays him to take Dr. Honda’s side. While Lucky becomes uncatchable and unstoppable from stealing and forging. Insp. Singh moves relentlessly to wrap him up. Lucky’s style and zeal fails infront of legal intelligencia. But while Lucky gets arrested and made to depart from him “stolen empire”, he manages to flee….with a sense of art and an attitude of style, right from the police wagon.
