PK=PAIN KILLER TO PREJUDICE KEEPERS.
In literature, there is a bold room of " Absurd Comedy". Raju Hirani has taken to this genre to underline a very serious and sensitive issue of self-pronounced godmanship taking a form of syndrome. It is virtually a close encounter with the THIRD KIND, PK ( a consequential nomenclature) that lands on this planet and sets on its quest for SOMETHING/ SOMEONE regarded as omnipotent with a view to getting back its stolen device that would enable PK to revert to the world he has hailed from. The sub-plot projects a broken love-case that, in the long run, comes in PK's shoe. Contrasted with diverse ways of living accompanied with diverse convictions, series of funny incidents cemented with incontrovertible arguments appear as the eye-washers. The winkless, open-eyed PK gets attached emotionally with the heroine thus evokes a note of pathos. The case of broken-love is reconciled by PK by doing away with the prophesy of the Godman.
The film is packed with humors and fun. These are used as discharged arrows that hit our established convictions. As for, Aamir Khan, he has given one of his best.His bizarre acts are tailored-made so much so that he has surpassed the creator of the film. Anushka has given her best till date.
In view of the thematic enterprise, a number of moots like projection of Pk believed to have been copied from the Portuguese musician Quim Barreiros or sarcasms against religions etc do not hold much good. Religion is not so brittle to get broken with some projections of truth.The films like OMG and PK are meant to ward off the filth and clay that has clothed in the true essence of religions. Such movies ought to be made in larger scale, else we are still confused while identifying our Creators.
