On the occasion of the marriage of Panchu Gopal Mukhopadhyay, a booklet containing good wishes from friends, both prose pieces and poems, was published. The contributors included the notable writers of the day.The most prominent among them was Kazi Nazrul Islam. He wrote a poem titled "Dilli ka laddu".As the saying goes, those who eat "Dilli ka laddu" and those who don't are both ruined! Nazrul was obviously referring to marriage as an institution. Was he speaking from experience?
