    The story is of crime and revenge by an unemployed young man. Shambhu an anti social had a nice family with his mother and sister Chanda. A slum girl Sarama, who also was friend of Chanda, was in love with Shambhu. Sarama wanted to bring Shambhu back to normal life. On Sarama’s words Shambhu went to an industrialist named Harekrishna Mallick. Harekrishna refused to give a him job but wanted Shambhu to murder Susanta, the union leader. After a great deal Shambhu accepted the money for the sake of his sisters marriage. Chanda accidentally loved Susanta which Shambhu did not know. After murdering Susanta Shambhu came to know that he had murdered his brother- in- law. He wanted to disclose it but Harekrishna started blackmailing him and asked to close his mouth. Chanda accidently came to know about the facts from Harekrishna and commited suicide as because she loved her brother. Shambhu on the pyre of his sister promised to leave anti social life & lead a normal life. With the help of Sarama, Shambhu started pulling a hand rickshaw. Chanda before her death gave birth to a child who was brought up by Shambhu & Sarama. That child named Prasanta loved Nandita who was grand daughter of Harekrishna. When prasanta came to know about the facts he wanted to punish Harekrishna. Harekrishna planned to murder Prasanta also. Shambhu came to the spot, saved Prasanta and murdered Harekrishna. Shambhu also died on spot by a bomb blast and firing from Harekrishna’s revolver.
