  • Bimal Roy's "Parakh" was originally planned to be a songless film. He decided that his regular composer Salil Choudhury would write the screenplay and regular lyricist Shailendra would pen the dialogues for the film. Later Shailendra and Salil Choudhury cajoled and convinced Bimal Roy that there is scope of songs in the story, and that's how classics such as "O Sajna, Barkha Bahar Aayi" and "Mila Hai Kisi Ka Jhumka" were created and roped in the movie.By Pravir
