Passport-the name of the film is interesting and you guessed it right, it does have something to do with a passport. This film is a sort of a thriller with Rajesh Sharma playing the baddie(Singhania) who literally destroys the life of passport officer Rajib Choudhury(Firdaus) after he refuses to help Singhania to flee the country. He is after all the most honest passport officer! As a result to finish him, Singhania sets Rajib’s brotherin-law(Mainak) against Rajib’s own younger brother (Prtaik) who were best of friends before and there is turmoil in the family. He is even misunderstood by his wife who sees pictures of him in a compromising position though it remains unknown to her that he is framed.

However later on the misunderstandings are cleared and everyone goes after Singhania, but he is killed by the person whom he had framed before he had framed Rajib.
Firdaus does a good job as Rajib and the same appplies to Gargi Roychoudhury as his wife but the rest of the younger cast are just okay. However Pamela doesn’t have much to do in this film and neither doesRitu(went by the name of Samiksha in Om Shanti) , but she is terrible and needs to shed more weight if she wants to remain a heroine. The item song in the film which takes place at the fair is completely unasked for and not required at all. Since when did item numbers start taking place at fairs??
Don, the dog is probably the star of the show and in fact drew the loudest cheers, whistles and applause in the film (in fact all the others barring Don drew a blank!) from the sparse audience at Bijoli.
