A copied debut, but a good start!
"Pehla Nasha" is the directorial debut of "Lagaan" director Ashutosh Gowariker, who is arguably one of the best and most honest directors in Bollywood right now. Gowariker never fails to astonish me with the sheer gulf in class between his directorial abilities and that of most of his peers.
A good remake of the 1984’s Hollywood movie “Body Double”. As is the norm with Bollywood, this remake was again unaccredited, but that's another story for another time.
Also I believe this was the very first and last film in our Indian film industry that the three trios came for the first time together in one film. The three trios are none other than Sharukh, Saif & Aamir.
About the film I quite liked the film and thinking it was about as good as the original, which I never thought of seriously.
All I can say: Typical, yet solid remake!
