Amit Chowdhuri (Tapas Pal) visited Mirik with his friends. There he meets Sita (Debosree Roy) who was sister of jeep driver Ramu. Amit promised Sita and her family to marry Sita. Amit came back to kolkata and told his parents that he wants to marry Sita. But amit's father Monish Chowdhuri (Subhendu) who was a proud and greedy businessman, disagreed with the marriage and locked him up at the house, and announced that he has to marry Sharmila (Debika). Nepal kaka (Kali Banerjee) who was the servent of their house arranged some money from his village and helped Amot to escape from his house. Amit escaped and went to Mirik and there he wedded Sita. On the first night they went to Radhamadhab's temple by a jeep and met with an accident. Sita was injured and Amit lost his memory completely. Monish came and brought Amit to kolkata. There Sharmila, daughter of a business magnet Anadi Roy (Ashim Kumar) took care of Amit as their marriage got fixed. Ramu came to kolkata with Sita and with the help of Nepal kaka. Sita started to live at Amit's house as maid servent. One day Amit's mother came to know that Sita loved Amit. In the meantime, Amit recollected his memory and Ramu told that Sita was the daughter of a man who was killed by Anadi Roy. At last Amit's parent accepted their marriage and lived happilly.
