Phoonk part 1 was the biggest flop, and it was but obvious that its sequel, i.e. Phoonk 2 would also maintain its image. After watching the movie, I realized that the movie would be made in a very least budget. I guess the actors had also being charged in thousands. But apart from anything, I am so proud of RGV, he has some guts to make a series of flops movies.
Very simple, no twists and turns, ofcourse very dramatic, and last but not least very pathetic.
Rajiv and Aarti shifted in their new home with their two kids, one boy and one girl, far away from Mumbai city. After few days, Rajiv’s sister Aarushi (Neeru Singh) and her husband Ronnie (Amit Sadh) landed there from America for their vacation. Now as the story moves on, all of them came to realize that something fishy and unusual is going on, which scares them. Later Rajiv found out that his past is still after his family. But in a try to save all, he finally at the end loses some of his near and dear ones. Film ends there.
Story was very simple, but the screenplay done itself Milind Gadagkar, was very bad, very-very slow moving and height of boring. Milind Gadagkar has written the story of Phoonk part 1, which was the biggest flop. But after then he has also written the screenplay of the film Acid Factory, which was strangely good and watchable. But now he is back with his old form and this time he had not only written the story and the screenplay of the film Phoonk 2, but also had directed.
Direction wise, Milind was strictly Ok. Though it was first attempt in the direction field, and this is his first debutant film as director, so only then it is strictly Ok, otherwise it can be rated as Ok also.
Another worst part in the film was cinematography. Useless shots and angles were being taken, and unnecessary trolley movements and shaky movements were given. I guess it was fixed up in the mind of the director and the cinematographer that we have to scare people through camera creativity only; Story, screenplay, direction sab khadde mein gaya. But unfortunately this idea didn’t worked but instead made nuisance out of it. About background music and all, I guess it’s of no use to comment also.
All the characters and artists who had played their role in the film were just Ok. They were but obvious not so good, but also were not that bad as compared with the Banner, direction, story and etc. I guess atleast they were better than all this. Apart from all, it was good to see the real life couple together on the screen, Neeru Singh and Amit Sadh. They both were looking very cute together but acted very bad.
All of us know that this film is a flop, and no need to waste time and energy, so I think it’s of no use also in commenting to you all whether to watch it or not. But one thing I would definitely say that, I am desperately waiting for “Phoonk 100”, I am sure it has been already scheduled, but I am just crossing my finger that by that time “Phoonk 100” would be atleast watchable and would gain 3 stars.
