Prahaar synopsis (Story)

Peter D'souza(Gautam Joglekar) was living with his father who ran a small shop in his area. He was on his way for military training as he was very enthusiastic to serve the country. During the formal training Major Chauhan(Nana Patekar) was the official supervisor. As time passed Major Chauhan was impressed by Peter D'souza. One day a bus was hijacked. A group of commandos with Major Chauhan was assigned to rescue the passengers. The commandos rescued the passengers but Peter was wounded and lost his legs. Prahaar is one of those movies, which probably missed the multiplex bus. Else, it would have got more accolades than it actually got and definitely deserved. Nana Patekar in one of his more reserved roles and Madhuri Dixit at her emotional best pitch in with amazing performances to take this movie to a new level. Nana Patekar takes charge of the directorial baton. And he does a very good job at handling this movie and not going overboard with the millitary and emotions.
