    The story revolves around the theme of marriage and romance, the story describes the romantic story of three couples. Barun is a professor. His mother is worried about his marriage because Barun does not want to marry. Mallika is their neighbour. One day her mother comes to meet Barun's mother and they fix Barun and Mallika's marriage. Barun does not support this decision. But his mother forces him to get married to Mallika. On the way to the wedding, his friends find that Barun is not feeling comfortable. His friend Atin and Satyen start telling him their own life stories. Aparna is Priyanath Mukherjee's only daughter. One day Priyanath's schoolmates and Atin's father, Colonel Mukherjee goes to meet Priyanath. There Colonel mukherjee meets Aparna. He decides that Aparna will be his daughter-in-law. Atin and Aparna get married. Atin does not feel easy with his mother-in-law and does not show any fondness towards her. Aparna feels upset. Colonel Mukherjee also feels affected by this. He tells Aparna to go back to her father's house. Aparna goes back there. After that Atin feels bored and starts missing her. He sends a telegram to Aparna and she returns. They get closer. Satyen tells the story of his marrying Sabita after four years of courtship. They are leading a happy married life. The stories dispel the doubts of Barun and he goes to the wedding happily.
