Elder brother, Hirenbabu (uttam kumar) falls sick and hands over his estate to his younger brother. The younger brother cheats his elder brother . He plots to kill his elder brother and sends his nephew to jail. The nephew then returns from jail and sees that everything has changed. His uncle has become more wicked. He then befriends Kestoda. He also sends his wife to a place where she is kept chained since she knows the truth. She is badly treated by him. The nephew Ranjan (Sukhen Das) makes friends with a karate champion in the jail. He learns all the tricks of fighting and is all ready for revenge. Kestoda is caught stealing because he wants to save his sister from the clutches of Santanam Babu who in turn for money is making Kesto's sister get married to a very old man. He is doing so since the old man is Santanam Babu's servant and he wants to marry Kesto's sister. She is however saved from the clutches of Santanam Babu by Sukhen Das. In the meanwhile Hirenbabu, who was thought to be dead is found alive but has lost his memory. He goes here and there begging for food. Finally one day when the police officer and Santanam Babu are returning Hirenbabu meets with an accideat. As a result he gets his memory back.
