Many years ago in 1987, a film was released named as “Predator” starring none other than “Arnold” which was directed by John Mc Tiernan. The film was a super-duper hit and was also nominated for the Oscar. In all the film won 3 major awards and nominated for the 4 other awards. If the common audience will see it now then he will definitely not like it and will instead laugh on it. But of any movie lover will watch this then he/she will definitely appreciate it, as in those times to make this kind of film is a great achievement, and that’s why the film was nominated once of an Oscar. Now, after 23yrs its sequel has been made by the new director “Nimrod Antal”. The one who has made films like “Armored” and “Vacancy”, and has won 8 different awards and nominated for 2other awards in his entire flimography. Let’s see how entertaining he had made the sequel.
Some soldiers from different parts of the world are being dropped by parachute in some other planet, where the planter is full of terror and predators. The aliens of that planet hunt every human being present in that planet, and slaughter them deadly. In all eight soldiers, without knowing have been dropped on that planet, in some jungle, to be on a mission for destroying these aliens. In that jungle, these aliens are of different types, their animals are of different types, and even their trees and plant are full of poisonous. Now slowly-slowly one by one these soldiers are being hunt by these aliens and getting killed by heavy brutality. There initial mission was to destroy these aliens cum predators, but now on a mission as to how to save their own life from these predators.
In these types of movies, the screenplay plays very essential role, as it’s very important to hold on tight for the audiences to their seat in the entire movie. If the script loses its grip, then definitely audiences will get bored easily. Nimrod Antal has tried his best to deliver his best, so that people can enjoy this one also, just as the people have enjoyed its first part. But due to lack of some thrilling sequences inside the screenplay, the film would surely distract your interest in watching it. Though definitely this film can’t be compared with the super old one, but definitely can say that director Nimrod Antal has entertained us overall. Also though there was a lack of some thrilling sequences, kind of nail biting bloody sequences, which makes people thrill and scares a bit, but still it was good to watch, especially the last half an hour.
Performances by all of them were great, and the wild card entry of the Laurence Fishburne as ‘Noland’ was good but not that much impressive. Direction by Nimrod needs a good appreciation as he has done a fabulous job here on the whole. He has not insulted the legend movie, but has added some fascinating pleasure into it, and had given a great respect to it. All the thrilling and blood-spattered sequences were beautifully scripted and shown. All thanks to special and CGI effects team.
People who had watched its first part, this movie is a great memorable for them and this movie surely welcomes them. And for them who had not watched the first part, for them it’s a good bloody thrilling experience.
