A Miracle Has Been Done By The Director Duo...
Within a few weeks time the thinking sleuth Byomkesh Bokshi has been metamorphosed in to a street smart ruffian Raju. And this miracle has been done by the director duo Sudeshna Roy-Abhijit Guha. The film is Prem By Chance. This is Roy-Guha Pair’s 2nd rom-com after Cross Connection. Abir Chatterjee was in that film too.
The Story line is very simple Raju (Abir), the hot headed guy, who roams on a bike has a crust over the local girl. Purna (Koel Mallick), but the problem is Purna has a boyfriend Sanu (Suman Banerjee), the local councilor’s son. So Sanu is Raju’s major obstacle.
Raju gets involved in a brawl with Sanu, and flees away to avoid cops. At the same time Sanu has left his lady-love Purna. But what would Purna do. As she has promised her family to bring her boyfriend along. At this juncture Purna meets Raju. Raju agrees to play the role of boyfriend Sanu to Purna’s family members. But Bijoy (Arijit Dutta) arrives in the scene as the second obstacle who wants to marry Purna.
Though Raju was enjoying the game, but when Purna’s family starts pressing him to marry Purna as early as possible, he again runs away on the wedding day, but later he realizes that he actually fell in love with Purna. He returns and after a brief dhisum-dhidum all becomes well for Raju.
Both Abir and Koel seem “made for each other” in this fun movie. The director duo has offered the audience a hundred percent pure comedy. Which is their forte’.
Rupankar is the music director of this film. This is his debut film. He has provided us with a good amount of loveable tunes.
Apart from Abir and Koel, the other casts are Manoj Mitra, Tanima Sen, Locket Chatterjee, Biswajit Chakraborty,-who are in charge of delivering the comedy part of the movie.
