The film has an okay story but it's ruined by ineffective direction and all clichés.
The execution is very old fashioned but the film was rejected because that time showing the heroine as a rape victim was too much.
RK Banner has made several successful films earlier Raj Kapoor, Randhir and Rajiv and then Rishi too directed films
Rajiv Kapoor directed this PREM GRANTH.
His Direction was average, Music was average too.
Rishi Kapoor looks too old, fat for the role. He looks older then Anupam and Reema(playing his parents) though he is in real life too older from them. He also looks too overweight (as in most 90's films) for romance. Feeling pity for Madhuri. She was tremendously beautiful, marvelous dancing and spectacular smile on her face (as usual)
Anupam, Reema are okay. Shammi Kapoor is nothing great. Govind Namdeo overdoes his part. Prem Chopra is as usual.
Overall, you can definitely skip this movie, especially if you are a Madhuri fan then for god sake don’t watch her in this movie.
